The
Cacomixtle Group offers you different interesting alternatives to
visit Sierra de Santa Rosa, Mineral de la Luz , Cerro de la Bufa ,
ect . here in Guanajuato .
However,
one of the characteristics of ecoturism is that one can do wichever
tour , depending on needs , the time available , the sights that our
visitors are interested in . All our routes are desingned for all
ages and they are placed in the environs of Guanajuato within a
radius of no more than 25 kilometers . ( There are detailed maps
which have an explanation of the environment ) .
Route
1
The
visitors will be picked up in their Hotel . The tour will begin on
the Dolores Hidalgo highway , where you can visit Presa de la Esperanza . The tour continues to a community called La
Concepcion , all this includes an endless beautiful view . We will
arrive at Llanos de la Fragua to follow a gap which will lead us to
Lagunillas . There you will walk about 2 kilometers a long a
beatiful local road until we get to a water fall , where you can
find the vestiges of an abandoned mine. Then we will go towards the
town of Santa Rosa until we arrive at Monte de San Nicolas , an
adandoned mining town worthy of admiration .descending a splendid
road until we arrive at presa de Mata and Mineral de Peñafiel to
end our tour , we will pass by the stream of the Palomas .We will
leave our visitors in their Hotel . See map
Route
2
The visitors will be
picked up in their Hotel . The tour will lead us from the Dolores
Hidalgo highway to Santa Rosa community. From there , we will go to
Santa Rosa de abajo , continuing a long the Antiguo camino Real
until we get to Rancho Enmedio . Then we will go to Los Alisos .
After that , we will continue to a town called Picones , which has a
water fall called El salto de San Vicente . From there we will go to
La cañada de la virgen where you will find ruins of what was once a
rich gold and silver mine.See map

The visitors will be
picked up from their Hotel . Then we will go along a local road to
the Calderones community , and we will continue to Cerro de las
Comadres and to the Panoramica de los picachos in the Cerro de la
Bufa . We will visit the towns of Cubo and Peregrina , which are
famous because of their rich mines . The visitors will be returned
to their Hotel .

The visitors will be
picked up from their Hotel . The tour will begin on the Dolores
Hidalgo highway , and from Mina de la Valenciana we will continue on
to Mina de Guadalupe . From there , we will go to Mineral de Santa
Ana from where we will take an alternative route to continue towards
Mesa Cuata , stopping in Buena Vista to enjoy the landscape .See map
Visit
to Old Guanajuato
The
difference entails the focus that is given in the tour , placing an
emphasis on Old Guanajuato and reflecting on how the monuments were
conformed with the land and knowing the mine`s history first –
hand .You will visit the first cemetery of the city , or
the first alley , Salto del Mono , perhaps the Cabecita alley , the
pricipal ranches with mineral benefits , dams ,or a forgotten
temple. Of course you can`t miss Mercado Hidalgo , Juarez theater,
the Basilica de nuestra señora de Guanajuato , the University , ect
.
